When I originally bought my tires, I picked ones that were labeled as suitable for all year use. Turns out, they did not perform well at all during snowy conditions. I found myself slipping and sliding, so I decided to return them and opt for a different tire type.

The run flat tire is performing well, though there is some noise that can be heard. It's possible that the noise is inherent to run flat tires themselves rather than specifically due to the tire.

In this article, we’ll show you why we think this is one of the best tires on the market for comfortable handling and good balance on your SUV. We will examine how the tire grips on dry and wet surfaces, its durability, and how well it generally handles on the roadway.

Keep reading to see how the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tire might fit your needs.

Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport Overview

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport is a summer tire for light trucks, sport utility vehicles, and performance pickup trucks. While it’s not an all-weather tire, its design is supposed to enable masterful handling in wet and dry conditions alike.

Although tire testing reveals the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport to handle well in wet conditions, customers usually find that the tire does better on dry roadways. Customers have found that taking sharp corners is difficult in wet conditions.

Our research indicates that, overall, the tire is a good summer tire for light trucks and some performance vehicles. However, the tire design handles hydroplaning with excellent resistance and traction. Customers enjoy the tire’s durability and long life, many customers claiming their tires lasted well past the expected mark of viability.

Compared to its closest competition, the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport scored highest on the road manners and dry/wet track with 7.47. The Yokohama ADVAN S.T. came in next with 7.21, and the Pirelli Scorpion Zero came last with 7.07.

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tested better than the Yokohama and the Pirelli in road comfort and durability. The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport ranks 93% against the best in street and sport truck summer tires, according to customer reviews.

Performance

Generally, the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tires perform well in most conditions. Customers enjoy the reliability of these tires and how they stick to the pavement when necessary.

Let’s take a closer look at how the tire performs in different conditions.

Wet

According to Tiretrack.com, the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tires had a good score of 8.1 in wet performance. That breaks down to include 8.0 for hydroplaning resistance and 8.3 for wet traction.

Some customers complain that the tires struggle with sharp corners in wet conditions, but most find that the hydroplaning resistance is more than acceptable.

Dry

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tires rated 8.5 in dry performance, a good rating that outdoes most of their competitors. Excelling in dry performance, the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tire allows drivers easy and comfortable traveling.

The score breaks down to 8.5 in cornering stability, 8.4 in dry traction, and 8.5 in steering response. For many customers, the steering response is the most crucial factor.

With good cornering stability, customers can turn with confidence and prevent overcorrection on the turn.

Snow

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tires are not all-weather, not made for snowy conditions or frigid temperatures. Because their purpose is summer performance, they have not been rated for winter and snow performance and are not recommended to be used in snow.

Handling

Overall, customers report the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tire handles very well. According to our research, it has a good steering response. Customer reviews back this claim.

Comfort

According to data from 70 tire reviews of over 1,050,609 miles drive, the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tires have a comfort level that reaches about 61%. Compared to the Yokohama ADVAN S.T. rating of 33%, it’s clear that the Bridgestone tire is a much more comfortable option.

Sharpness

Customer reviews tend to show that the Bridgestone tire has a good road response when turning, with a rating of over 67%. This ranking is about 10% higher than Yokohama. The tire has a longer response time in wet conditions, customer reviews explain.

Durability

According to our research, the Bridgestone tire ranks 71% for durability and wear. This is about 11% higher than the Pirelli Scorpion Zero and over 30% higher than the Yokohama. The Bridgestone tire comes with a 40,000-mile treadwear warranty, showing that the manufacturer expects a long and durable lifespan from the tires.

User reviews back up this research. Customers enjoy the long-lasting quality of the Bridgestone Dueler, which allows them to travel longer and farther before getting new tires. Over 50% of customers reviewed would commit to buying the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tire again.

Price

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport runs about $160 per tire, which could mean upwards of $640 to replace all four tires. For the price, the Bridgestone tire is a good choice. Our research shows that it’s a high-quality tire with remarkable durability and superb handling in various road conditions.

The Bridgestone warranty program adds value as well. These factors combined make it seem to be a worthwhile purchase.

Recommendations

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport is a highly rated tire with good performance reviews backed up by customer satisfaction surveys.

For the quality and durability, the tire cost is reasonable. For the high ratings in dry and wet road handling, the tire outperforms expectations. Customer reviews support this, showing a satisfaction rate with customers who would purchase the exact tire again.

While the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport is not rated for winter weather and snowy conditions, it performs well in dry and wet roadway conditions. Its performance is supported by testing research and customer reviews who enjoy the benefits of Bridgestone’s quality.

Although competitors deliver in handling and performance, they don’t match up compared to Bridgestone’s durability and road response.

Conclusions

Based on the data, the research, and the customer reviews on the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport series, these are good tires recommended for qualifying conditions.

We compared the Bridgestone tires to the Pirelli Scorpion Zero and Yokohama ADVAN S.T. tires, both of which are more expensive yet do not perform as well in varied conditions. Overall, the Bridgestone is the better tire, and it is cheaper.

The tires work best in dry conditions, although they are highly rated in wet conditions. While some customers report difficulty with sharp corners when roads are wet, the tires perform well overall and are excellent options for the price.
